  13. Phoenix, Arizona -- March 25, 1992 -- 1st Bulletin Board System (BBS) CD-ROM for the Macintosh computer with First Class, Mansion, MUBBS, Second Sight and Telefinder file directory's and descriptions released.

  15. Decompressed Volume V of the BBS in a BOX CD-ROM, provides over 9,000 files and 640 megabytes of Macintosh™ software.

Decompressed this data exceeds 1.4 Gigabytes! This CD-ROM is the most current collection available with items added as late as February 27, 1992. Volume V has expanded compatability to five (5) BBS systems. First Class, Mansion, MUBBS, Second Sight, and Telefinder. All of these BBS systems are excellent with MUBBS being free and the others commercial.

Volume V contains over 78 AppleLink items,  270 Adobe Screen font files, 100 MUG items,  280 Art files, 430 Business tools, 400 DA's,  340 Fonts, 480 Games,  1000 HyperCard tools, MacTechnical Notes, 350 MUG Newsletter Reviews, 110 MIDI files, 210 Music files, 400 Programer tools, 50 QuickTime tools, 600 Telecom files, 110 System7 tools, Decompression applications, 1100 utilities for the Macintosh, 500 Word processing tools and support articles plus much, much more!

  22. Adobe Screen Fonts
  23. Adobe Systems Inc. has allowed us to license their screen fonts on Volume V for redistribution. This is the most current Adobe Screen Font collection on CD-ROM. You as a “BBS IN A BOX” registered user have the right to allow your users to download these screen fonts.

  25. Special Art & Music Collections
  26. Special collections of Music from Porcupine productions have been provided in sound and MIDI format that are available on no other on-line services. Professional animator Fred Kuentz has provided never before released Quick Time movies in the QuickTime folder. Artist Reginald Muhl has provided professional photographic slide scans for multimedia and Richard Wald have provided special sections of his clip art.

  28. World Factbook, Shakespear and Thesaurus
  29. Mark Zimmerman has provided us with special Hypercard editions of World Factbook, Shakespear and Roget's Thesaurus. These items are available for you and your users to download and enjoy. These items have not been released previously. BBS in a BOX does it first again, thanks to Mark Zimmerman. Look in the Exclusive folder if you want them in decompressed ready to use form.

  31. “PD Pig Out!”
  32. Volume V features “PD Pig Out!” which is bundled with HyperCard 2.1 (licensed from Apple Computer) by  MacWizards. This stack contains  descriptions on approximately 8,000 public domain and shareware files available for the Macintosh™ on Volume V of “BBS IN A BOX”.  This stack retails for $19.95 and may be purchased from MacWizards. However, “BBS in a BOX” owners will have this product included on Volume V for their use.

  34. BBS Descriptions - Database Searches
  35. Volume V supports On Location search engines. In addition , text file listings and other database tools are provided in various formats. “BBS IN A BOX” is the ONLY CD-ROM that provides BBS descriptions on over 640 megs of compressed Macintosh BBS software.
